so, per your request (or more accurately utter disappointment), i have now read the entire keepright.wordpress.com blog.

my life is more fulfilling now, my coffee tastes better, i laugh more and i'm now a successful part of an abba cover band (complimentary compact disc to follow).

while reading about all your adventures i cried, laughed, got scared, and a little bit jealous. keep up the good work and make sure you take lots of pictures of your stop in los angeles. i hear someone awesome lives there.

Lombard Street (worlds' curviest street)? Sutro Baths/Playland/Great Pacific Hiway?? Russian food on Clement Street? City Lights Books/North Beach Italian food?? The wild parrots of Telegraph Hill??? SF stuff that might still be there !! To get to Sutro Baths/Cliff House area follow Geary Blvd (past where I used to live across from Boas Used cars.. north of Divisidero and Kaiser Permanente a block or so.. Bruce Dobson (Leaf's Dad and his g'fd Myrna WIlder (Jeremy's Mom), and Larry and Paula Dobson and baby Ian Dobson and I and Jerry Chroman (Alazar's Dad) and a whole bunch of other people lived together on Geary and then also in a house on Arguello at Clement St (Clement T-d our driveway on Arguello) Who knows if this stuff is still there... but we had fun together for a year or so circa 1968-69!! Jerry and I got married at the Cultural Integration Fellowship.. Institute of Asian Studies... etc etc.. (and then took off for Paris for that year abroad..)

In LA--Venice Beach ..Malibu... Topanga Canyon .. Bodhi Tree Bookstore.. etc I still have an old boyfriend friend there if you want his #! He's near Venice Beach boardwalk I believe (used to live in Beverly Glen when we were hanging out together mid 80s...)

But enough about me. Sigh.. your trip reminds me of my trips... fun . I remember going to Twin Peaks one afternoon for some unknown reason with a real estate agent who seemed a bit creepy once we got there...

Paula and I used to put sleeping baby Ian in the backseat of her car and bop down to LA (from SF) to visit friends in the middle of the night stopping in san Luis Obispo at a Senor Taco to fuel up on quesadillas...

Keep an eye on that southern weather mess- major floods and stuff... but I won't go haywire on that topic this time I promise-- just check it out please so you can steer clear!??

PS In New Orleans.. honestly - at night you do not want to go wandering off the main lighted and mounted horse patrolled tourist drags (Bourbon St eg)-- major 'projects' and hustlers and dark scary alleyways abound JUST outside the patrolled pools of light.. not kidding. St. Louis #1 cemetery is full of dealers and people sleeping amongst the historic tombs (including the voodoo queen's) so stick together and wait until noon at least IF you go at all??

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet! I have to admit, I love that Hard Rock photo. Partially because I do, you know, rock hard. But also because I had friends in college whose "cafeteria hobby" was creative silverware bending...

so i went to a 311/Slightly Stoopid concert tonight and as I was listening to the 12th song by 311 that I didn't know, i finally figured out the 'on the L.A.M" thing. It came to me like an epiphany. Just thought that you would appreciate that. Well played with the acronym, you got me for awhile.

looks like the trip is going well. i like the blog. talk to you later

ps. let me know if you pass the Western Hemisphere's Largest Cross. I hear it's a good time.
